Meskerem Gebreyohannes, lovingly known as Meski, embodies the strength and warmth of her Ethiopian heritage in every aspect of her life. Two decades ago, fueled by the unwavering support of her devoted husband and determined to share the rich tapestry of her culture through food, she began a modest restaurant.

That restaurant has grown into a vital pillar of the community. Meski serves as a steadfast matriarch for the Ethiopian community in Michigan, a sanctuary where individuals yearning for a taste of home find solace, connection, and belonging.
